Today we have done the evaluation of what we have done for subject UIR. The most important thing that I have done for UIR is the searching techniques. Now I know how to search for a particular information acuurately and effectively.

Dream holiday.
My dream holiday, I would like to visit Newzealand. Its such good country. The culture there is entirely different from our culture. I always had a passion to know about other people culture, thier life style etc.

practical 8
Today we asked to vbisit a website. The url was http://www.talkingcock.com/. Using the criteria for evaluating the website we comment whether this site is sustainable or not. And we divided ito 4 groups of 6 students by assuming some roles. The roles were Singapore prime minister, A singaporean. Then one representative from each group commented on this site as they decorating those assumed position.

If I had $500
If I ahd $500, I would have bought a good cell phone. The cell phone must be nice looking with all the facilities like 3G, bluetooth, WAP etc. I m crazy for new cell phones in the market.

Then we evaluated the site under many criteria like purpose, coverage, authority, access, currency, accessibility, usability etc.

I have used google as the search sengine to retrieve information on my topic. The phrase I have used was "(Discuss*) AND (Drug* OR Medicine*) AND (Abuse* OR Mistreatment* OR violence *) AND (Youth* OR Adolescence *)"
Subject directory
I have used Yahoo subject directory to search for information by using the same phrase as the keyword.
Metasearch Engines
I have metacrawler as a meta search engine by using the phrase as the keyword.
